Audioquest MacKenzie XLR

The Audioquest MacKenzie XLR cable adopts Solid Perfect Surface Copper+ (PSC+) solid copper conductors. The adoption of solid conductors rather than multiple copper strands limits the distortions linked to the interactions between the different strands, and at the same time reduces the phenomena of time lag in the transmission of the audio signal. With an extremely pure and smooth surface, the PSC+ copper used by Audioquest offers very low distortion, much less than conventional oxygen-free copper, and promotes the transmission of both high and low frequencies.


The insulation of the conductors of the Audioquest MacKenzie XLR cable is ensured by a polyethylene foam in which micro-bubbles of nitrogen have been injected. This relatively rigid foam is used because it maintains the layout of the conductors over the entire length of the cable, which guarantees perfect stability of its impedance. In addition, the proprietary NDS technology involves three layers of carbon here to effectively prevent RF disturbances from polluting the ground plane of the connected device.
The symmetrical geometry of the Audioquest MacKenzie XLR cable allows the ground to be separated from the audio signal, ensuring very low impedance in the positive and negative signal path, the shield not being used as a lesser quality conductor. Finally, the silver-plated connectors are made of high-purity pink copper and are cold crimped.
